Elliptical lubrication?

Do I
need to lubricate the elliptical wheels?
You would have noticed that with your elliptical
machine there was a bottle of silicone lube in the
box. What is this for? It is meant to keep your
wheels that ride on the double rail as slick as
possible. Remember to only use this sparingly, the
bottle will last for YEARS of service. What we
recommend when you first install the machine at home
would be to clean the rails with some windex type
cleaner and just add a very small amount of lube to
each rail and spread it with your finger tip on the
top. Then get on the machine and roll the wheels on
the rail. When the rails get dirty from use, residue
from the wheels, carpet fibre etc... do it again.
REMEMBER to use only a little amount on the rails,
this is 99% pure silicone, this bottle should last
5-10 years (thats' how much to use).
